"The logical response to the ever increasing dimensions of watch case is the DAVOSA Vigo. Boasting a pleasing 40 millimetre diameter, it provides the perfect setting for different mechanics versions: with a day and date display, with a second time zone or chronograph function. The 5 ATM water-resistant stainless steel case is remarkable for its incredibly comfortable design. All surfaces are polished except for the lugs, which display a matt surface. A 4-pinned, screw-in, transparent back provides an excellent view of the respective movement version. Two dial designs, which could hardly be more different, give the Vigo either a classic and elegant visage or a dynamic and sporty appeal. The former has a matt, silver background, which forms the first level with a central guilloche. The level above contains the action with its hand-applied, silver-plated figures. The dynamic, black dial version also adopts the two-level design, while adding an additional contrast in the form of two-tone Super-LumiNova in orange and natural green to highlight the hour markers and Arabic numbers, and emphasise the tips of the hands. An antireflective sapphire crystal front ensures an unrestricted view of both dial versions.
