The development departments of the automotive, avionics and aerospace industries have given us a wealth of new material combinations, which can equally be used in watch production. The XM8 series is the result of such innovations and creates an unconventional look without any compromise when it comes to elegance. The stainless steel case with a scratch-resistant, PVD coating in black and rosé forms a single entity with the tailored, synthetic polymer strap with its silky smooth surface and an structured underside that effectively releases transpiration. It is incredibly comfortable to wear under any circumstances, serving almost as a second skin, and can be easily cleaned in clear water. The two screws on both pieces of the strap set an accent against the black background. The dial is made of carbon and possesses an irregular exterior frame, which is aligned with the annular 5-minute markers and the quarter-hour minute figures. The hour markers are logically positioned within the outermost circle between the minute markings. The hands, crown and pushers are harmoniously integrated into the overall design. And last but not least: the standard equipment consisting of a sapphire crystal front, 5ATM water-resistance and a transparent back are certainly worth a mention.
