"A sporty design often means angular lines. Not so in the case of the automatic Pares Sport line. This timepiece enriches the DAVOSA collection and stands for harmony, nobility and nostalgic elegance, all of which are manifested in the polished, 44 millimetre diameter, rounded, stainless steel case. It boasts 5 ATM certified water resistance and its three-part construction is scarcely discernible as the bezel, midsection and case back merge into each other without discernable gradations. The integrated operative elements consisting of the crown and, in the case of the chronograph version, the pushers continue this fluid impression in a skilful manner: A rounded, fluted crown provides good grip and projects from the side as a very flat, radiating cone. The height of the case, measured from the highest point of the convex sapphire crystal to the flat, screw-down, mineral glass back, is 11.8 mm or 15.2 millimetres respectively. Despite these proud dimensions, the Pares Sport never appears ungainly, even on a narrower wrist. The nostalgic impression is further enhanced by a glossy, black dial. It is equipped with a tachometer for measuring speeds on the outermost ring of the chronograph version and a minute counter in the automatic version. Within this ring, a fine relief structure of thin, vertical stripes is repeated right across the dial. The foreground is dominated by the orange-coloured, Super-LumiNova-accented Arabic figures and hands, which guarantee unrestricted readability at all times."
